I’m currently in the middle of an interesting situation… one that I find unusual…


Recently, I have found myself stepping away from the computer and designing on pen and paper; taking me away from the rulebook I have created.

Dark Souls – The House Rules!!!

So part 1 I talked about the rulebook that I believed was not up to scratch


For part 2 I’m looking at something else, when a player intentionally removes a rule or reads a rule wrongly (both can happen and I have experience on both).  However I do not see misreading a rule as a bad thing… especially if it means that something comes out of it.

Fury of Dracula – The Nightmare of Not Knowing

The Fury of Dracula is a game of Cat and Mouse along the line of Letters of Whitechapel and Nuns on the Run,…

… and one that freaked me out…


Worst still I played it against my mother (1 on 1)… bad move on part because she was an expert of hide and seek; however it was an experience of playing with a hidden element.

XCOM 2: Long War – Suppression and Second Opinions

Sometimes it takes some research in order to find out why you are struggling with a game; XCOM 2: Long War was a surprise.

WARNING, not streamed for over a year or three, so not up to scratch.

When I was playing XCOM2 : Long War, I was struggling with getting very far, I was getting wiped out very quickly.  However, as I streamed my research live, I was surprised how I was able to take advantage of one key factor, and a mistake I made.
