Frostpunk – Building on Thin Ice

Steampunk in eternal Winter, Frostpunk was one of those games that had a world of beauty and danger all at once.

And while city manager doesn’t immediately appear to be the best way of showing this horrific world off, it does, in my eyes, allow people to face the harsh nature of survival and what is needed to be done to survive.

WARNING: There are spoilers for the main storyline… you have been warned.

Legacy – Thought Experiment

One of the ideas I’m thinking about is a Legacy game that can be reset.

A legacy system occurs when you play a single session of a board game but the results carry over to the next game. This also includes stickers, sealed envelopes and other elements that permanently change the game forever.

The problem with most is, once all the secrets are gone, you can’t reset as the secrets were part of the game. So how do you make things interesting things multiple times but still keep it legacy.

Article 13 – The Evil CEO

I am actually kind of worried with what I am about to write. Because it shows how ruthless I could be if I didn’t have morales or my life was in danger.

1 Hour ago I wrote about the things that Google could do to protect itself that would result in the death of the music industry.

I was going to go Lord Business on this and explain what companies could do, not just to adapt, but to take revenge on the old music industry but then two things crossed my mind

  1. Do I want to give Google ideas that could destroy an industry. Even though they have made a terrible mistake, it’s not because of the singers, they will be innocent misguided victims in all this.
  2. If Google is planning something like this then I’d be giving it away.

All I know is this, I went deep into the mind of a corrupt CEO and I came back with a fear of myself; of what I could become. So while I’m not going to release my “Masterplan to kill the music industry”, I have gained an insight into myself so some positives out of this.

Article 13 – YouTube’s hand

I’ve just watched SidAlpha’s take on Article 13 and he’s right about it being a mess.

However, there is a famous saying when it comes to the markets, Adapt or Die. And Internet based companies are masters of the concept of adapting and innovating.

And actually they do not need to adapt in this case as they already have all the tools in place, not just to survive but, as a major twist, to KILL the old music industry.

Cry Havoc – The YouTube Choice

It’s taking a while to figure out how to handle the Sunday Scenario in relation to the Cry Havoc game.

However while I’m thinking about the Sunday Scenario, another back burner project came to mind.

Board game playing for twitch and youtube; one game I wanted to play was Cry Havoc.
