Its strange that three weeks on my confidence seems to be improving.
The strange techniques seem to be working and when you want to get a point across and normally you let your actions do the talking. So what does it take for me personally and what have I learned about myself.
I don’t script everything… if I did I’d spend my entire lifetime scripting. What I do though is bullet point what I want to
Doctor Who – Why it won’t fail was done on a 1 minute intervals, each bullet point on a turn of a timer. I didn’t have time to panic or repeat, I just had to do it.
This maybe something I continue doing.
The original plan was to sit down and pull off all recordings in one sitting. However as I tried to do that I found myself burning out.
However after doing a session on the Wednesday and finding an interesting way of starting the video, I feel I gain more from giving some time and firing off the Thursday episode the day before.
May need a few random topics to talk about to get into a flow. In fact I think I need to figure out how to relax a little more. Make it easier.
A 19 year old game can resonate in the present day.
When you find something that helps you move forward in life and still shows you have the smarts to do something… it speaks volumes. I mentioned in the video that I see this as a strategy game and while Steam also considers it a Strategy Game, I want to put my reasoning why and which elements it takes from other more action orientated games.
Well the first thing I’m planning is to restart youtube videos as part of the blog. The plan is to put the video out first then put the supplemental notes out on the Wednesday out on the blog with the video.
So what am I looking at?
There are two potential ideas that I could do:
Four Reasons Why…
OK, this is a disaster waiting to happen; especially considering one of the ideas that has come to mind involves Doctor Who… JUST ASKING FOR IT! But four reasons, keeps things simple and allows me to go into detail about key elements I like.
I’m asking for abuse; not just taking on Doctor Who but game flops as well. Could I do anything worse… well I could but even I don’t want to cross that line willingly. Mistakes have been made with some games and taking them head on and making suggestions based on the games and mechanics I know… it’s one way of getting angry people shouting at you.
There is also one other project I am working on BUT this isn’t a solo project and I need help with it.
Oh and at some point I have to redo the Twitter and FB buttons below, maybe add a few more.
So how do I do this without entering drama territory.
Not going to happen… OK so let’s keep it simple… let me give three good examples of board gaming communities that I know of (opinion) that do of a good job at being inclusive to everyone. I will not use names but you may be able to figure it out.
